Beer clean glass – do you know what that means?
If you ever drank a beer and thought to yourself something doesn’t quite taste right. Well that may be due to the fact that your glass is not what is called a “Beer Clean Glass”
If the glass is not properly washed there can be an oily residue on the glass which can affect the taste and smell of the beer. Make sure the 3 compartment sink has fresh clean water and plenty of sanitizer in the sink.
Some bars and restaurants have a washing machine, some use 3 compartment sinks. In this video, we demonstrate how to make sure the glass is, in fact, a beer clean glass.
As a professional bartender, it’s your #1 job to make sure the customers are enjoying their visit.
If the glass or silverware is not clean, this can certainly ruin the guest’s visit. Even though you may have done a great job, the tip you get may be less because of the dirty glass, plate or fork.
You have heard the expression cleanliness is next to godliness. Remember this at all times, things will go smoothe and tips will be good. If the customer has a dirty experience, then your pocket will suffer. It’s also a poor reflection of your employer, but it’s your job to make sure all glasses are a Beer Clean Glass.
Keep your glasses clean, and give your customers a beer clean glass each and every time. Mixing drinks is only part of being a great bartender. Treating your guests like they are in your home and part of your family is good way to look at it.
